A key feature of the expansion is the striking glass box that extends from the original building, offering a light-filled reading space that serves as both a reflection and celebration of RML’s storied past. Inside, acoustical wood ceilings create a serene environment, while tech-enabled conference rooms facilitate global collaboration and pioneering research.
Bridging History and Innovation
The reading space features a thoughtfully designed vinyl graphic wall, showcasing the history of RML and its groundbreaking work in combating infectious diseases. This visual narrative connects current researchers with those who came before them, honoring a legacy of resilience, collaboration, and public health dedication. With state-of-the-art classrooms and collaborative spaces, the library provides an environment where researchers can push boundaries and advance RML’s mission to protect and serve the public.
